Welcome to the NACELL resources directory!

These pages contain information about a variety of free and commercial resources to support early language learning and teaching. If you are looking for materials designed for young learners, the audio CDs, interactive software, videos, books, DVDs, posters and websites listed here might be able to help.

There are still many more materials out there so if you have any suggestions for new items to include, please let us know at nacell@cilt.org.uk

We welcome your ideas and feedback.

European Day of Languages

The European Day of Languages is a Council of Europe initiative held annually on 26 September. For more information and ideas for primary teachers, visit CILT, European Day of Languages. To help you celebrate the day, CILT resources including t-shirts, balloons, badges and posters can be bought from the CILT shop.

Have you visited our library?

Many of the resources mentioned in these pages are available for previewing in the CILT library as part of the NACELL collection. This collection is dedicated to early language learning and offers the opportunity to browse teaching packs, course materials, storybooks and posters, and to try CDs and software.

The library is now situated in brand new premises at Westminster Bridge Road where it is open to the public from 10.30am - 5pm, Monday - Friday (excluding public holidays).
For further details please visit the CILT library page.

Bookings are also being taken now for summer term group visits. These events are hosted by our information team and are ideal for groups of primary teachers or trainees wanting to find out more about the range of resources and services that CILT offers. Please contact erika.ind@cilt.org.uk for bookings.
