A great first session to the new RSG season. Teachers considered how with the help of new materials for UKS2 on wgfl Language Learning teachers can help children to develop and progress their language learning skills.
Janet Barnes from Evelyn St Primary School in Warrington and Kirsten Stroud have designed materials as a stepping stone to the QCA SOW Unit 20: A tour of the World around us! Janet Lloyd demonstrated some of the materials from a unit on greetings which allows UKS2 teachers to revisit greetings and extend children's language knowledge and allow discussion around IU.
