Non-statutory guidelines for modern foreign languages at key stage 2
These non-statutory guidelines are intended for primary schools that are teaching or planning to teach a modern foreign language. They are designed for use with children in years 5 and 6 but may be adapted for use with other year groups in primary schools. The guidelines can be found on the National Curriculum online website.
The National Curriculum in Action website uses pupils' work and case studies to exemplify what the National Curriculum in modern foreign languages looks like in practice.
